ScrewTrail works without an account. Project names, repair photos, origin pins, tray-cell mappings, notes, and completion state are stored in app-private storage on the user's device. They are not uploaded to a developer-operated server. Local data remains until the user deletes a project, clears all app data, clears ScrewTrail in Android settings, or uninstalls the app. Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled for this data.
Google Analytics for Firebase automatically processes app launches, sessions, app interactions, approximate location, device and app information, and device or other identifiers such as an app-instance identifier and, when available, the Android advertising ID. ScrewTrail also sends only these custom product events: sample start, project creation, mapping addition, project resume, reassembly start, reassembly completion, and privacy-options open. Custom events never include project names, photos, notes, pins, tray cells, contact information, or other user-entered content. This data is used for analytics and product operation.
Google Mobile Ads automatically collects and shares IP address (which can estimate approximate location), app interactions, diagnostics, and device or account identifiers for advertising or marketing, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Data sent to Google is encrypted in transit and is handled under Google's service disclosures and the consent choices available in the user's region. ScrewTrail does not request precise-location permission.
Ads never appear during mapping capture or the reverse reassembly queue. Privacy choices are available in Settings when required. Google retains Analytics, advertising, consent, and diagnostic data according to the configured Analytics property, Google's service terms, user choices, and applicable legal obligations. Users can manage ad personalization and Google-account activity through My Ad Center and Google's privacy controls. Because ScrewTrail has no account and does not collect a name or email address, the operator may be unable to locate a specific Google SDK record by a user's identity.
